Hamsters make cute and adorable pets
Hamsters are soft, furry and small. They make wonderful pets
because they can be entertaining and educational while living in
their assigned home. Hamsters are very inquisitive and curious,
just watch their twitching sniffing nose, which is constantly
assessing and analyzing the environment. The pet supplies needed
for pet hamsters is minimal.
A simple cage, some bedding and a running wheel make up the basic
furniture. Add in some food and water and your pet will be
content. Be sure to include a piece of wood for gnawing because
this helps the hamster to prevent it’s teeth from overgrowing.
Hamsters as pets come in a variety of sizes and colors.
Pet hamsters came in many different breeds; from the Russian
dwarf to the Chinese hamster. Hamster health will be one of your
main considerations because while they are durable and rugged,
once ill they can sink very quickly. Healthy pet hamsters are
active, curious and constantly on the go when not sleeping.
These are good indication of your hamsters care: is it busy
eating, running around the cage and generally alert and active?
If so, you have a healthy pet that will last for a long time.

Keeping Your Aquarium Clear of Doors
There are two types of doors in most homes: Interior doors that connect rooms and exterior doors that lead outside. Both types can wreak havoc on your freshwater aquarium in different ways:
Exterior doors can be very drafty. Every time someone opens a door in wintertime, cold air seeps in. It doesn’t take long for an aquarium to chill under these conditions. Place your tank well away from any outside doors to avoid drafts.
Interior doors may be safe from cold drafts, but they can be deadly if they hit your aquarium. It seems that most doorknobs are at a perfect level to slam into the glass on many tanks. Many expensive aquariums have been broken by a door that has been hastily flung open. If you must place an aquarium near a door, slowly open the door a few times to make sure that it has plenty of room to safely clear your tank.

*DOG TIP*
Make sure to adhere to a regular routine when caring for and interacting with your dog. Deviations from normal routine, such as lack of interest or lethargy, on the part of your pet may be the first warning sign of illness.
*CAT TIP*
Do you every wonder how much water your cat should be drinking? If you feed her dry food, she should consume approximately one cup of water for every ten pounds of body weight in a twenty-four hour period. If you feed her canned food, her intake may be one-third to one-half of the above. If the weather is warm or she is playing or running a lot, she may drink more.
*BONUS TIP*
Use a reverse osmosis, faucet-mounted, or pitcher filter to remove contaminants before filling your pet’s water bowl.
